F1 2017 Release Date Announced

F1 2017, the latest instalment in the annual racing franchise from Codemasters, has been confirmed today for release on 25th August 2017. To mark the occasion, the ‘Make History’ trailer has been released.

The trailer shows 3 of the 12 classic F1 cars that will be available in the game – “the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 as driven by Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, the 1992 Williams FW14B that was raced by Nigel Mansell and Riccardo Patrese and the 2002 Ferrari F2002 of Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher.” The cars will be available in online multiplayer, and will also be made available in the game’s main career mode as special events – which players will be invited to attend over the course of a season. Check it out below:

F1 2017’s Creative Director, Lee Mather, has also promised more variety than previous F1 games in the form of alternative track layouts and new gameplay types – including a new Championship mode, a deeper career mode, and numerous multiplayer enhancements.

While most of the classic vehicles will be available in the core game, players who want to experience the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 will need to either pre-order the game or purchase the Special Edition on Day One.
