Bioware’s Brand New IP Is Getting Closer

At E3 2014 Bioware showed us a great presentation for Mass Effect: Andromeda. At the end of that presentation however was something even more exciting. We got a brief glimpse, no more, of a new IP that Bioware are working on.

Since then details of that new IP have been very scarce. This means that the only real glimpse we have of this sacred cow is the one small snippet of concept art we were shown those two and a half years ago. All we saw was a day and night cycle and an outpost at the edge of the screen.

Well now we have a couple of more details for you. From a financial call EA CEO Andrew Wilson described the game as an action adventure title and made it clear that it was not an RPG. The other fact that was revealed, and is maybe a little more interesting at this time, is that the game is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2018. This means that we may well get a full reveal at E3 this year.

One fact that we have known for a while is that the lead writer from Dragon Age, David Gaider is on board. At least this means that the storytelling will be deep, rich and exciting. As soon as we know more details about this title we will be sure to let you know as soon as we can.
