Resident Evil 7 To Run At 1080p/60fps

Resident Evil 7

Here’s a story that those us is still gaming on our glorious but venerable 720p Pioneer Plasmas can’t get that excited about (that will change when Santa corrects his error and delivers that 4K monster we just know someone gifted us), but we know there’s a huge crowd out there that does care about such things.

Resident Evil 7‘s producer, Masachika Kawata, speaking to GamingBolt, has confirmed the game will run at 60fps and 1080p on Xbox One, and will support HDR on Xbox One S.

All jesting aside, we’ve seen the effect of the performance gap between Xbox One and PS4 narrow over time – and though Xbox owners have rarely been able to claim visual parity, there’s no doubt among those of us who game of both sides of the platform pond that it’s difficult to spot the differences in many cases.

RE7’s demo has already scared the Bejuzus out of many of you – Twitterverse has been awash with claims that this laest instalment will claim Game of the Year 2017 status (remember to go ahead and pick your favourite for 2016). Some people even thing the demo alone is the best thing they’ve played all year.

Resident Evil 7 launches on 24 January, 2017.
