Resident Evil 7 Demo Heading for Xbox One and PC
While PlayStation gamers have already had a chance to play Resident Evil 7’s ‘Beginning Hour’ demo back in June, PC and Xbox gamers will have their chance later this month.
The demo itself has already received two updates, with ‘Twilight’ providing more areas to explore, and ‘Midnight’ expanding rooms, weapons, enemies and endings. According to Capcom, the ‘Midnight’ update will finally allow gamers to ‘explore what lies beyond the mold-covered door, where terrifying growling noises emanate from.’
Xboxers will be the first to trial the new Resident Evil game when the demo drops on December 9th.
Meanwhile, players on PC will gain access on December 19th – almost a month before the full game is released on January 24th 2017.
Capcom also confirmed that the Xbox One and PC demos will include all updates, while the PC version will include new settings and graphics options.
Many have praised the new direction for a series that felt like it had lost its way. A return to its survival horror roots, Resident Evil 7 focuses on the terrifying Baker family, and the dark secrets hidden within their mansion. And despite the unofficial pact between Capcom and PlayStation, we’re glad that Xbox and PC gamers will be able to check out the game before its final release.
