VLC 3.0 Soon to Allow Xbox One Users 360 Degree Videos

VideoLAN‘s famed media player VLC player has been on Xbox One for a short amount of time and is starting to change they way you watch videos on Xbox One.  VLC 3.0 is set to release on November 30th for it’s main platform but will be coming to Xbox One shortly after.  The newest feature of the 3.0 will be the ability to watch 360 degree videos and photos.  Spherical images are also going to be supported which is the next step towards a full VR video player on the home console.

VLC is already one of our top choices for media access through a DLNA server and the continued support through Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform makes it easy for companies such as VideoLAN to bring top tier support and products to the Xbox One.
