South Park The Fractured But Whole New Release Date Confirmed

The Fractured But Whole was due to release early next month, just in time for Christmas, but due to Stone and Parker’s ultimate commitment and determination towards the Stick of Truth sequel, the game was delayed, with a release unconfirmed.

The creators have been working extremely closely with Ubisoft to make sure the title is in tip-top shape and was unhappy to release the game in December, to make sure it gets fine-tuned from the ground up. They are huge gamers themselves so they understand how frustrating it can be to receive a game unfinished, or buggy so we know we can fully trust their instinct on the matter. That is why I am more than happy to wait for a polished version rather than a big mess that Ubisoft seems to release nowadays with their titles.

Rumours had been speculated regarding a January release, however bright and early this morning, I received an email from Microsoft regarding my pre-order for the game (which I made way back in June):

So there we have it, looks like 30th March 2017 is the definitive release date, according to Microsoft. We have yet to have official confirmation from Ubisoft themselves.

How do you feel about the long delay for this game? Do you think that Matt Stone & Trey Parker know what they’re doing when it comes to creating video games? We would be happy to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments below
