Poor Sales for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Infinite Warfare

Infinite Warfare has had a rocky life from the beginning, it had the most dislikes on a YouTube video we have ever seen. Neither the less that didn’t stop Activision from launching and all out assault to make sure Infinity Wards title smashed sales numbers. This included bundling Modern Warfare Remastered in with the special edition.

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Sales Info has been released, the numbers aren’t good. Infinite Warfare sold only 1.8 million copies in the first week!

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare sold 830,989 copies on the PS4, 781,551 on Xbox One and 200,783 ± 11,603 on Steam for a total of 1.8 million copies in its first week. While these numbers represent physical copies (with the exception of Steam digital sales), they are way down when compared to the other games in the Call of Duty franchise. Its predecessor, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, sold 6.6 million copies within its first week. Some of the latest installments, such as Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, came close or even passed the 10 million sales mark within their first week of sales.

Although the reasons for the poor sales can only be speculated, both the initial trailer and the addition of Modern Warfare Remastered were received very poorly by fans and critics alike. Even with a dedicated fanbase, the negative attention Infinite Warfare received before the release of the game has surely had an impact on the number of sales.

Despite the positive reviews, we won’t know how well Infinite Warfare actually does financially until the new Call of Duty is released. Only time will tell if Infinite Warfare can make a comeback for its total number of sales.

  1. not surprised. Multiplayer is rubbish and the campaign is just about average.

2 for the price of 1, are u mad. Its £40 for infinite warfare and £70 for infinite and modern warfare. Its a joke and they cant just keep spewing out these games every year and expect everyone to rush to the stores to buy it.

  3. maybe devs will at last realise we are tired of buying the same shit year after year. And now at an overblown pricetag

  4. I really enjoyed but I love things to do with space ?
