Don’t Expect All Mass Effect Trilogy Species In Andromeda

November has been a busy month for news on Bioware’s upcoming fourth game in the Mass Effect franchise; Andromeda. Although there is no firm release date yet, more details are filtering through via Game Informer

The most notable new information we’ve been given is that not all of the species that featured in the original trilogy, will be present in Andromeda. Creative director Mac Walters said; we’ve designed the IP in such a way that they can all show up, for hopefully obvious reasons, they’re not all going to show up in the first game.”

You will still be able to meet new people however. Game Informer added that more companions will be join up with you on your ship, The Tempest. You can also expect that there will be entirely new species to the series as part of this.

It definitely sounds like original species will be present in the Andromeda universe, but we may have to wait until a follow up to what Bioware has called it’s biggest game ever.

More Andromeda footage is to be unveiled at The Game Awards next week on December 1st. What are your thoughts on the exclusion of certain species? Let us know in the comments below!
