343 Industries Studio Head Josh Holmes Is On His Way Out

Halo developer 343 Industries is moving around around some management, as Josh Holmes – studio head for the last 7 years at 343i – is moving on to pastures new.

Bonnie Ross, 343i general manager, reacting to the announcement, called Josh an “instrumental leader” and wished him well for the future. In the announcement, Josh had this to say about his time at 343i.

“I have loved every moment here on Halo but I find myself drawn to new horizons.  This month I’m leaving 343 Industries and excited for my next adventure to pursue independent game development.”

Unfortunately, there’s no need to be in a hurry to submit your applications for the vacated position.  Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians head of production Chris Less will be taking over the duties as studio head.

We don’t know what Holmes has in mind for his next adventure and if he will create his own studio or work with another but given his track record it’s exciting to see what he will come up with next.
