This week Xbox celebrates its 15th birthday

Fifteen years. What a wild ride. Fifteen years of Xbox green, the Master Chief and our favourite console family. On 15 November, 2001. Xbox was introduced to the world.

Not everyone’s Xbox love goes back that far – but many of those who were there at the beginning, marvelling at interstellar wars in Halo or drifting ’round city Streets in Project Gotham Racing, are still part of our Xbox family.

We can’t wait to see what’s in store in the future – and we’re excited to relive those last fifteen years in some great company this Tuesday, 15 November, Xbox’s birthday. (Yes, we know it was March 2002 in Europe. Thankfully such regional variations are largely a thing of the past!)

Share your Xbox memories with us, in the comments below or on Twitter with the hashtag #HappyBirthdayXbox.

Fifteen years. We’ll leave you with this.

Amazingly, prone to intermittent fits of unexplained optimism. Lived alone and liked it so much he bought the company. Wouldn't mind being a little less clever and a little more handsome. Arranges words into painstakingly grammatically correct order for a living. Likes: Sunshine, TV, couch, cats, games. Dislikes: Rain, people, arranging words into painstakingly grammatically correct order. #ILHIMH
