It’s Official, We’re Getting Hitman Season 2

Sometimes a developer has to be prepared to take a risk to revive a flagging franchise. That is exactly what IO Interactive did with the Hitman Franchise. This years trip into the shoes of Agent 47 was made into an episodic one and that was certainly a risk for the developer, but it was a risk that certainly paid off. Fresh life most certainly has been breathed into the Hitman series.

Following on from the success of the first season the developer have confirmed in an interview that a second season is currently been worked on. Details are a little thin on the ground at the moment, we don’t even know how many episodes there will be but there are a few things that we do know.

The main point is that the content will feature in towns used ion the first season. This means that the developer can have a faster turn around in the development of the game, perhaps to give us the episodes a little quicker. This also means that we will be able to revisit our favourite locations once again.HITMAN-Episode2-Preview_(1)

There will also be a return of the Elusive Targets. These will be located on both the first and the second season maps, this means that the developer will have more freedom to develop the stories and missions in locations that both us and them already know.

As we said, details are sparse at the moment meaning that as of yet we have no idea when we will get to lay our hands on the second season but hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.
