Can you believe, Halo 5: Guardians is already celebrating its first anniversary! However it appears Microsoft is set to continue supporting the game for the foreseeable future with further DLC.
Since the games release, there has been a total of nine free updates that have included fifteen maps, an abundance of REQ items and six new game modes to name a few. However in a blog post this week from the games developers, Josh Holmes of 343 Industries has spoken about further DLC and updates. Holmes stated that there will be ‘the introduction of more maps into the Warzone Firefight rotation, new Forge canvases, an improved spectator experience, and more.’ Promising news for avid fans, especially considering the user base is still reported to be relatively large.
Holmes also mentioned further improvements ‘In addition to new experiences and features for both Halo 5 and Halo 5: Forge, we’re also working on matchmaking and server improvements.’ These imrpovments are expected to come to both Xbox One and Windows 10 to create live custom game experiences. Holmes further teased that we can expect to hear some concrete details ‘in the near future’.
