Season Pass and Online Multiplayer Detailed as Final Fantasy XV Goes Gold

After a decade in production, it has been announced that the next long awaited installment in the Final Fantasy series has gone gold.

Final Fantasy XV, which started life as a spin off title was first announced in 2006. The team have not only tweeted that it is now in disc production, but have also given details on DLC and online multiplayer.

Firstly the DLC, which Square Enix have revealed will form provide further content over the coming year. This will be divided into three original episodes that take place during the events of the Final Fantasy XV story. Each episode will allow you to play as one of Noctis’ comrades that will offer unique styles of play specifically tailored to each character.


Following the release of the DLC. An expansion pack titled Comrades will introduce a new online multiplayer co-op mode for up to four players. Square have stated that Comrades will feature ‘intense battles allowing players to take full control of Noctis, Gladio, Prompto and Ignis as a group. Comrades will be released as part of the season pass, but also available to purchase separately.

Final Fantasy XV is scheduled to launch on November 29th and if the ten year wait hasn’t whet your appetite enough, you can check out the latest trailer below.
