Beam Integration for Xbox One

Microsoft have announced that Beam, the interactive livestreaming service they acquired in August, will be integrated into Windows 10 and Xbox One as part of the free Windows 10 Creators Update due early 2017.

Building Beam right into Windows 10 and Xbox One will allow anyone on Xbox Live the opportunity to become a game broadcaster without the need for additional software.

Beam differs from other more popular livestream services in that it allows viewers to have greater involvement into the streamer’s gameplay. Viewers earn XP and ‘Sparks’ which can be spent in interactive streams and best of all, Beam broadcasts are viewed in near to real time.

What are your thoughts on Beam coming to Xbox One? Will it make you switch from Twitch? Let us know in the comments!

Hi everyone! Laura here (aka JumpZips), I'm an IT geek who's been gaming for more years than I'd like to admit to!. Last year, I decided to have a bash at YouTube (midlife crisis?) and I now create content for my own channels as well as Xbox One UK.
