Titanfall 2 developers, Respawn Entertainment, have released a new video talking about their vision for the Single player campaign story.
You play as Frontier Militia rifleman Jack Cooper, who aspires to be a Titan pilot. Stranded behind IMC lines, you must team up with a veteran Vanguard-class Titan named BT-7274 and work together to uphold a mission you were never meant to carry out after the death of your mentor and original Pilot of BT-7274, Captain Lastimosa.
In the video, senior game designer Chris Dionne says “The bond between Jack and BT was one of those ‘ah-ha’ moments in development”
EA’s Devin Bennett had previously said, “Titanfall 2’s single-player is crafted to dive deeper into the Titanfall universe, exploring the unique bonds between Pilot and Titan, and taking full advantage of the movement and combat, to deliver a feeling a feeling of being unstoppable together,” and this is again highlighted in the video.
The video also reveals we will have dialogue options in Titanfall 2, where you can respond to things BT says in different ways. The example provided shows the player responding sarcastically to what BT said but could have given a more serious response.
Titanfall 2 is due to release in less than 2 weeks on 28 October.
