Gears of War 4 officially launched today around the globe, but deluxe edition buyers have been playing for almost a week with the new ‘Play Early’ system that seems to be becoming a trend with first party games. Those players could be perceived as glorified beta testers, helping to shape the game for launch day and as such, certain changes have already been made to the Gears of War 4 credit system and Gear Packs. The recent announcement appeared on twitter this morning and on the official forum, providing details on it’s changes:
- Elite Pack Credit cost has been reduced from 4000 to 3500
- Match Completion bonus credits in Versus Multiplayer have now been increased
It should be noted that due to this change, that happened server-side, comes along a bug that may display 0 credits and XP match bonus, but The Coalition have confirmed you still those match bonuses, which is visible by visiting the Credit Wallet in the main menu. They are working on a patch to fix this issue.
For more details, you can head on over to the Gears of War forum.
For most players, this wouldn’t have made an impact but for those that have the ultimate edition, what do you think to the minor changes? We would be happy to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below
