Although it’s not due to drop until 7th March 2017, Ubisoft have been slowly drip-feeding us information about the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands – and today we got a chance to see a demo of a stealth takedown mission in the campaign’s story mode.
You can check out the walkthrough demo right here:
It’s the same mission as featured at E3, although rather than a hail of bullets, this time we’ll see how the quest can be completed rather more quietly. Ubisoft have a plan, see, to offer you ‘total freedom of choice’ as you takedown the Santa Blanca cartel – so if all guns blazing ain’t your style, stealth should see you through.
The game, which can be played co-op or solo, features precisely what you’d expect from a stealth mission – using cover of darkness to tag enemies and co-ordinate simultaneous attacks without alerting a soul.
The video also revealed a few more details about Wildlands, such as the fact that there’s 60-plus vehicles in the game, as well as more 50 customisable weapons. Also, an interesting mechanic featuring diversionary rival rebels opens up more gameplay possibilities.
Are you a stealth player or are you addicted to the howl of gunfire? How will you approach this Ghost Recon mission when it’s released next year?
