New Gears of War 4 Gameplay Showcases Guardian Mode

Gears of War 4

Listen up, COG! We’re getting close now to the highly anticipated release of Coalition’s Gears of War 4, but the team still have plenty to showcase.

In an exclusive reveal on Nvidia’s Youtube channel NGN, we get a peek at some new multiplayer gameplay, specifically the fan-favourite game mode Guardian on the classic map Gridlock.

Despite any graphical or gameplay changes, this still looks and feels like traditional Gears. Gridlock looks fantastic with its fresh coat of paint, and Guardian promises more frantic “protect the leader” action that it has delivered since Gears 2.

The video, which you can check out below, is running on Nvidia’s DirectX 12, which looks fantastic, but anyone looking to play Gears 4 on their brand spanking new Xbox One S come October 11th should be equally impressed.

How excited are you for Gears of War 4? Will you be picking it up Day 1? Let us know in the comments!
