FIFA 17 Release and Ultimate Team Web App

Following hot off the heels of the demo released last week (which seemed suspiciously coincidental that it became available to download the same day as Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 was officially released), EA has announced an official release date for its popular annual football game.

If you happen to have an EA Access subscription, you can take advantage of an ‘earlier’ release, giving you a 10-hour trial and a somewhat generous 10% off the purchase of the full version of FIFA 17. But unlike previous iterations, you will only be able to access some of the new single player Journey mode and the infamous Ultimate Team. Let’s face it, ultimate team is what we really want anyway, isn’t it? It is still unknown if you will be able to unlock achievements during the trial, given the restrictions, but any progress made will carry over once you purchase the full game.

According to fans of FIFA who have spoken to EA through Live Chat, they have been informed that the Ultimate Team Web App is due to go live sometime today. This means that you will be able to take advantage of racking up those FIFA coins and booster packs early in anticipation of the games full release. However, this has not been confirmed by EA themselves but judging by previous years, it’s expected in the coming days at least.

For EA Access subscribers, you can download the trial from Thursday 22nd September, whilst the game will officially release to all a week later on the 29th September.
