Beam Livestreaming service coming to Xbox One

A month ago, we brought you news that Microsoft acquired the interactive livestreaming service, Beam. So it’s virtually self-evident that they would eventually bring the service to their Universal Windows Platform (UWP) and release an app for Xbox One.

Beam allows its viewers to interact in new-fangled ways such as allowing the streamer to control certain aspects of a particular game, whilst the viewer may get to control another facet. This feature alone, and the fact that Beam has better technology backing it, makes it a more stable platform than twitch, so we’re undoubtedly convinced that Microsoft are in this for the end-game. Twitch: Get your boxing gloves on, because we think you have a serious contender on your hands!

Beam is due to launch on Xbox One in winter with no official release date confirmed.

Will this be enough for streamers to deter from their only other streaming service currently on Xbox One? We’ll be happy to hear your thoughts about the matter in the comments below.
