Stop Searching ReCore, T8-NK is Not There.

You can stop looking for the 5th and final robot in ReCore. It’s not there. The frantically searching players were addressed yesterday morning by the game’s Twitter page.

When asked about the inaccessible map area and the Tank dedicated menu space, Microsoft responded,

“The Tank is not currently available in the game. But please stay tuned for news.”

Which means that it will be available at some point, but will it be free? The two common opinions revolving this oddity are that either:

  • The developers didn’t quite finish Tank before the game released on September 13th.
  • It was purposefully left out to be purchased as DLC later.

Developers are constantly pushed to finish on deadline and there’s always something that decides to bug out or not work properly. I like to think it was the first reason, it wasn’t finished so it was stripped to provide a great game experience. The last robot will be added in later after the bugs (if any) were fixed.

So no, you aren’t missing a secret objective in the game, and it’s not an easter egg. T8-NK just isn’t there, no matter how many prismatic cores you have.

What’s your opinion about the missing robot? How are you enjoying ReCore so far? What’s your favorite thing about it so far? (No spoilers please!)
