Attrition To Return In Titanfall 2

For many fans of the original Titanfall the main mode of the game was the all out warfare that was Attrition. It is understandable then that many fans were concerned when the Titanfall BETA tests were conducted last month and they featured a serious lack of the afore mentioned mode.

The BETA tests featured game modes Bounty Hunt, Pilots vs Pilots and Amped Hardpoint. Obviously with Attrition being such a huge part of the original Titanfall’s success it stands to reason that Chief Operating Officer of Respawn, Dusty Welch, has been asked about it’s return numerous times since the conclusion of the BETA tests.

Below is the response that Welch provided recently when he was presented with the question of Attrition:

Interesting question. I would answer this way: The tech test was a very small subset of the game. We’re fans of playing (the original) Titanfall and all of its game modes, and just think people will have to wait to see what we provide next. Is that enough of a hint? But we’re all ears. I know the right people. I know the right guy. I know a guy and I think he’s listening.

From that response it’s probably a pretty safe bet that the inclusion of the fan favourite mode from the first Titanfall could only be more concrete if the C.O.O had gone “Yes it’s  in the game, next question?

Are you hoping that Attrition is included in Titanfall 2? Or are you excited to try out everything else the new title has to offer, including it’s new single player campaign? Let us know in the comments.
