The Witcher 3 Studio CD Projekt RED Now Focused on Cyberpunk 2077

We’ve been waiting for news on Cyberpunk 2077 for a while now, so it’s exciting new to learn that CD Projekt RED, masterminds behind the awesome The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, are currently focusing all their efforts on the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is billed as an open-world RPG set in the ‘dark future of 2077, where advanced technologies have become both the salvation and the curse of humanity.’ Players will navigate Night City, a world where gadgets can be used to feel other people’s thoughts and emotions. There’s also both a single-player and multiplayer component.

Given the sheer scope of The Witcher 3, it’ll be intriguing to see how well-realised Cyberpunk 2077 will be – particularly when you realise just how focused on the new game CD Projekt RED are.

In a forum chat over on the studio’s site, IR Specialist Katarzyna Szulc was asked about the game’s development, and revealed that…

There are currently more game developers working on Cyberpunk 2077 than on The Witcher 3 in its most intensive month.

There’s no release date for the game yet, but it seems that the fiendish minds behind Gwent are now throwing their full weight behind this latest game. And even better, Cyberpunk 2077 reportedly has flying cars.
