Indie Game Of The Month – August 2016

As we find ourselves heading to the last few days of August, it’s time to start sharing the love and giving congratulations to people that truly deserve it. Here at Xbox One UK, we like to recognise the developers in the Indie scene – these guys and girls really do deserve extra credit for their work. They painstakingly get an idea from mere thoughts into an actual game for all of us to play and enjoy, now if that doesn’t deserve a tip of the hat then I really don’t know what does. So for the month of August, we have chosen the Indie title that has stood out from the crowd (not an easy choice this month so credit to all Indie developers is deserved). This months winner is – cue the drum roll please – Valley from Blue Isle Studios.

Clocking up a very impressive 8 out of 10 in our review (check it out here in case you missed it), it came top from serious competition in the form of Obliteracers and Pharaonic which both deserve credit too for being awesome.

So we know that Blue Isle Studios made this cracker of the game, but what else do you know about them – let’s find out a bit more shall we? Blue Isle Studios is an independent video game design company located in the northern village known as Toronto, Canada. They are a small yet passionate group of artists, designers and programmers working to build captivating virtual worlds while delivering the best gaming experiences possible. What they lack in size, they more than make up for in talent and dedication. Designing and building great video games isn’t easy; but it’s what they do best. If you are feeling the need to find out more, then check out their official website by simply giving this a simple click.

Can you please all join me in congratulating the winners of the August Indie Game Of The Month Valley and the developers Blue Isle Studios.

Check out the trailer below and if it is something you fancy a go at, Valley is available from the Xbox Store for a very respectable £15.99.
