Grow Up comes to Xbox

You probably associate Ubisoft with big-name AAA blockbusters. Assassins Creed. Tom Clancy’s The Division. Tom Clancy’s Anything. Watchdogs. But you might not be aware that the Ubi umbrella is broad indeed. From Dust. Valiant Hearts. The beautiful Child of Light. All are Ubi games.

Grow Up – the sequel to Steam hit Grow Home – looks set to continue the trend when it hits consoles on 16 August.

From that date you’ll take control of BUD (Botanical Utility Droid) and help him explore an open world landscape to recover pieces of his lost spaceship. BUD uses his unique plant-growing skills to bend nature to his will, allowing him to reach otherwise inaccessible locations to retrieve the lost components.

As the name suggests, Grow Up concentrates on verticality – BUD’s going to reach dizzying heights in his adventures this time ’round.

We’re looking to see what Newcastle-based Ubisoft studio Reflections can do this time around!

Grow Up releases on Xbox One on 16 August in the US and Europe (17 August in Japan).

Amazingly, prone to intermittent fits of unexplained optimism. Lived alone and liked it so much he bought the company. Wouldn't mind being a little less clever and a little more handsome. Arranges words into painstakingly grammatically correct order for a living. Likes: Sunshine, TV, couch, cats, games. Dislikes: Rain, people, arranging words into painstakingly grammatically correct order. #ILHIMH
