Mass Effect Andromeda Big Reveal Coming This Year?

The head of Bioware Studios has hinted that there may be a Mass Effect Andromeda reveal coming this year.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting further news on the latest game in the sci-fi series since it was first announced in 2015. Since then we’ve been teased with concept art and a couple of making-of trailers, showing the Bioware team hard at work crafting the fourth Mass Effect game.

Those that were expecting something big at E3 were left pretty disappointed – during the EA press conference, they delivered another video of the developers, interspersed with a few quick shots of the game itself. But nothing substantial.

Now Aaryon Flynn, Bioware Studio’s head, has opened up about the dev’s plans for unleashing the game on the world. Discussing Andromeda with games site Eurogamer, Flynn said:

There’s definitely more stuff we could have shown or talked about. But now we’re shipping next spring, the time to really blast all that out there is after other games come out. We’ll be there then to have a great big reveal and release all the details.

Barring a delay, that hints at something coming this year, presumably after publisher EA’s other titles, Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 are released. It seems that, ultimately, Bioware has a very clear idea of how they want to create an impact with the game – and just when they’re going to do it.
