Could Activision Be Remastering More Titles?

It would appear that the Taiwanese Ratings Board is leakier than my old bathroom. In less surprising news, Activision are probably in love with money.

The ratings boards around the world have often been the source of premature announcements and leaks, and if the Taiwanese Ratings Board is to believed, Activision are planning to remaster Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2, along with Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. All 3 games have been rated for both current gen consoles.

Ordinarily, we’d conclude that they’d be making their way to the backwards compatibility program, but the fact that they’ve also been confirmed for PS4 would suggest that full remasterings are in the works. Perhaps these will come in the form of definitive collections, such as the recent Dead Island: Definitive Collection.

It’s also interesting to note that Fall of Cybertron is the second game in the High Moon Studios series of Transformers titles, meaning there’s no information regarding the previous game War for Cybertron.

What do you make of this leak? Legit or a red herring? Would you be interested purchasing any of these titles should they make their way to Xbox One? Sound off in the comments below.
