South Park: The Fractured But Whole Release Date, Story & Gameplay Information
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is the sequel to The Stick of Truth, a turn based fantasy game set in the South Park universe and whilst this new game picks up where that one left off the two games couldn’t be further apart in story and play style.
In this title things have changed and, seeing as children are so fickle, the kingly status you achieved in the last game has been reduced to absolutely nothing as the kids switch things up to playing Super Heroes. In a bid to make billions as a super hero franchise the South Park kids erupt into their own version of Marvel’s Civil War, the Coon and Friends are completely divided.
This game is much more personal in the sense that it focuses much more on the player itself. The new kid, once more the uncool outcast, must try to adapt to the new superhero game and come up with a superhero persona. You will be given a choice between multiple types of superhero ranging from Speedster classes to Bruiser classes, though there were talks of mixing and matching powers from each class.
The combat system of the game has been vastly overhauled. Whilst the combat of The Stick of Truth was largely point and click this new title will involve the manipulation of both space and time. There are no location restrictions in the new game within combat scenarios, players can now move the character to get behind cover or tactical spaces. You can also push and pull enemies into props or other characters for other attacks, though enemies can also do this to the player. You can use your superhero powers to attack enemies from over obstacles. In The Fractured But Whole your farts have become so powerful that they can rip apart the very fabric of time itself, allowing you to rearrange turn orders and turn back time.
