Destiny : Rise of Iron Full Facts

It’s the moment all us Destiny fans have been waiting for and of course i’m on about the next highly anticipated expansion to the Destiny universe. But what’s it all about?

It features an all new story campaign set within The Plaguelands, a brand new location on Earth. Under the command of Lord Saladin you will face a new faction of Fallen Devils, the Splicers, while unravelling the mystery of the Iron Lords.

Rise of Iron features new weapons, armour and gear, as well as a new cooperative three-player Strike, a new mode and maps for the Crucible competitive multiplayer and an all new six-player cooperative Raid.

New Campaign Story  (YES!)

The wall which stood for centuries along the southern border of Old Russia has collapsed, a battle-scorched reminder that our enemies still seek to destroy us all. Fallen mutants now scavenge the tombs of the Golden Age and the plague they have unearthed in the wastes is more dangerous than even they understand.  Join Lord Saladin. Journey into The Plaguelands. Learn the fate of the Iron Lords and stop the growing threat before it is too late.

New Locations to Explore

Destiny: Rise of Iron includes a new zone on Earth featuring all new areas to explore, a new enemy faction to combat, new activities and patrols and secrets to discover. Players will also reopen a long abandoned fortress to serve as a new social space for Guardians who answer Lord Saladin’s call to action.

  • New Zone: The Plaguelands

o   An all-new setting on Earth, The Plaguelands. This area near the Cosmodrome has been quarantined for centuries. Now the Devil Splicers have broken through the walls, dug deep into the earth and found technology of almost limitless power. The Splicers are using this forbidden technology – SIVA – to transform the region to fit their twisted desires.

  • New Social Space: Felwinter Peak

o   From their mountain fortress atop Felwinter Peak, the Iron Lords once ranged across the planet, battling the Darkness and protecting the survivors of the Collapse. After the Iron Lords fell, so too was their fortress reclaimed. Now, new Guardians must make the icy climb to reclaim the snowy mountaintop that looks out onto The Plaguelands and establish a new base of operations in the fight against the Fallen Devil Splicers.

New Enemy Faction

Every Fallen House has Splicers – body hackers and bioengineers who fuse metal and flesh – but The Devil Splicers have uncovered the ultimate technology, SIVA, a Golden Age breakthrough in self-assembling, self-replicating nano-technology. The Fallen have always worshiped machine gods, now, armed with SIVA, the Devil Splicers are becoming machine gods themselves. Confront the Fallen Devil Splicers in The Plaguelands, find the source of the SIVA outbreak and contain it at any cost.

New Six-Player Raid (YES!)

Deep below the earth lies the true source of the SIVA outbreak, guarded by the most zealous and powerful Fallen Devil Splicers. Six Guardians will plumb the depths to stop the threat at its source. Should they emerge victorious, they will return to the surface wielding powerful new SIVA weapons and armour.
