Microsoft Debunks Xbox neXt Rumor

Rumors have surfaced recently regarding the next iteration of the Xbox platform, Xbox neXt and Microsoft has made a statement regarding the subject. As it turns out, the Xbox neXt moniker is not associated with a more powerful Xbox One or next-gen Xbox system.

A Microsoft spokesperson recently interviewed with IGN, “Xbox neXt was an old internal team name for a group that worked on releasing Xbox One and is not related to a future console… We have nothing further to share”.

Succinct, but pretty definitive. Rest assured that any news of a new Xbox will be shouted from the mountaintops.
