Treyarch has just announced the details for the next installment of Black Ops 3 DLC called Eclipse. The DLC will feature all the things that we have come to expect from a Call of Duty DLC including new multiplayer maps and a new chapter to the zombies saga.
For all of you multiplayer fans there will be 4 new maps called Spire, Rift, Knockout, and Verge. Spire is set in a futuristic airport terminal that is based high up in the sky, which must make take off much easier. The map is designed for mid ranged shootouts that also adds the risk of falling to your death into the mix.
Rift is a military base set in a volcanic crater, that features pathways that force players into tight confrontations with opponents, along with an environment that allows those with keen movements to get the drop on their enemies.
Knockout is set in a traditional Shaolin Temple, making use of an exterior for mid range combat, and an interior designed for close-quarters fights, so get those shotguns at the ready.
Verge is a remake of the old Banzai map that adds combat set in between two warring factions in a post-apocalyptic setting. Key locations include a bridge, fortresses, tunnels, and waterfalls, all designed to encourage fast paced action.
The new zombies chapter is called Zetsubou No Shima and sees players transported to a Pacific island set in what appears to be the second world war era. You will also get the usual assortment of new weapons and gear to help you fight your way through those undead hordes. To wet your appetite for this new chapter Treyarch have released a short trailer to set the tone.
