April 28th 2016. The gaming world has gone to shambles, quality first person shooters are in short supply, someone must do something to remedy the situation. Square Enix want to be the company to lead the way in resolving the FPS shortage, whether they can do that remains to be seen…. That’s a suitably dramatic introduction to an article that focuses on the in depth but extremely gripping 101 Trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The trailer is in fact extremely clever when you really think about it. As opposed to the normal narration with the “Hey look you can … Read More »

This Week At Bungie has taken on somewhat of a pugilistic theme for the most recent update, as the team have been working on fixing melee attacks that either don’t do damage or whiff entirely. Let’s take a look: Sandbox engineer Jon Cable details how these melee attack bugs actually occur, and what’s he’s doing to negate it; interesting if you want to learn about how bugs are identified and squashed. It’s worth noting two things however: melee attacks not doing damage is a network issue that can’t be fully rectified, only reduced, and this update won’t be rolling out … Read More »

We know what you might be thinking is this exactly great news for Blizzards foray into first person shooters? Many may say not that depends or not if you are a fan of Black Ops 3 or not. Treyarch one of Activision development studios for the Call of Duty franchise helped Blizzard out as obviously fantasy MMO’s are usually their thing. The Diablo and World of Warcraft creators wanted to make sure that their shooter played well on a consoles controller so enlisted Treyarch to help with specifically the aim assist so it is not jarring as sometimes it can … Read More »

Roll up, roll up, gather round everyone and bear witness to some new Backwards Compatible games courtesy of your friends and ours… Microsoft. Depending on who you are, you might be pleased with what’s on offer here… Maybe. You can even download them right now. Look at this picture of me doing just that! Whilst this has yet to … Read More »

The Long Dark from Hinterland Studios (currently in Game Preview on Xbox One) is an unforgiving venture into the wilds of Canada, and things just got better… or possibly worse. Hinterland has just recently released a new patch to the Sandbox Alpha mode that adds a veritable ton of new features and content, which I will disclose to you fine folks now. The game has until now been limited to a pure survival experience, though a story mode will be coming to the full version when it officially releases.
