Final Fantasy XV Gets New Demo, Trailer and Release Date

Good news for all you JRPG fans, and we know there’s a lot of you, as Square Enix have dropped a whole load of Final Fantasy XV related goodness for you all!

In a new trailer, which follows Noctis on his quest to “Reclaim His Throne”, we get a look at some of the new monsters and gameplay we can expect from the full game, with highlights including a boss fight against some gargantuan, Titan looking beast, and a running battle atop a train against waves of soldiers.

The trailer also reveals the long awaited release date for Final Fantasy XV. You might want to book a week off work from September 30th, you’re gonna need the time off to tackle the 50 hour main campaign alone.

But perhaps the best news of all is the surprise demo that has landed on the marketplace. Titled “Platinum Demo”, you’ll be plonked into the shoes of a young Noctis, exploring a “fragmented dreamscape”, with an original story and some twists. Quite how it ties into the main game remains to be seen, so you’ll just have to play it to find out!
