Killer Instinct Season 3 – Is It Worth It?
Killer Instinct Season 3 is right around the corner, and for the eager beavers amongst you, you can download the Ultra Edition right now in preparation for the launch on March 29th.
Priced at £31.99 for the Ultra Edition, this will include all of the new content planned to release throughout 2016; content such as new characters, costumes and accessories, new gameplay balancing, new arenas and some surprises too. If you feel that’s too pricey, though, you could buy the standard edition for 16 quid, which will give you just the 8 characters and their respective arenas. Perhaps, though, you’re only interested in the guest characters? Don’t worry, you’ll be able to purchase those separately for a handful of coins.
Long time fans will understand how this value works, as it’s the system that Iron Galaxy have used to dole out the annual updates. Committed KI fans can either fork out for the full package, whilst casual fans can cherrypick what they want, such as Arbiter or Rash. It allows you to decide what content is worth purchasing or not, which always good for the consumer.
For a limited time too, the Ultra Edition will also give you 18,000 in KI Gold, the game’s micro transaction currency. It just so happens that 18,000 KI Gold sets you back 31.99 on its own, making an early purchase even more worthwhile, and you can use this gold to purchase some of the premium outfits for your characters, or some double XP boosters on top of the permanent VIP double XP you’ll receive for buying Season 3’s Ultra Edition.
Chuck in a few rumours about General RAAM and a new Shadow Lord mode, and you’ve got plenty to sink your teeth into with this package. Agree with our assessment? Let us know in the comments below!
