Next Call of Duty to Give Away Modern Warfare Games

The gaming world has been gearing up for the next Call of Duty for a while now. After a leak, it’s already been confirmed that the next instalment will be Call of Duty: Ghosts 2, and that it’s being developed by the franchise’s original studio, Infinity Ward.

Now there’s a fresh rumour about the next COD: players will get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as free, pre-order bonus backwards compatible downloads.

The Price is right

The Price is right

The Modern Warfare series of COD games are arguably the best out there – not only did they start the online multiplayer juggernaut, but they had story missions and characters that have become gaming legends. Don’t believe me? Name one NPC from any other Call of Duty game (No cheating).

We’re all for pre-order bonuses of the backwards compatible kind, and if the rumour’s true we could be looking at a time where all post-Modern Warfare Call of Duty’s are playable on Xbox One, especially when it’s already been leaked that the original Black Ops will also be joining Microsoft’s backwards compatible program.

As usual, we’ll stay frosty and bring you the latest as soon as we hear it.
