The Church In The Darkness

Time to infiltrate a 1970’s cult in your own way

The Church In The Darkness gives us a trip back in time, back to the 1970’s to be precise. Here we find two stand out characters, Isaac and Rebecca Walker. These two created the ‘Collective Justice Mission‘, they are the leaders here and believe their way of life they can offer is better than any other. After being labeled as radicals and accusing the US Government of persecution, Isaac and Rebecca move to the jungles of South America and take their faithful followers with them. In the quest for relocation ‘Freedom Town‘ is built and ,according to their views, people can live here in socialism as God intended. Trouble soon follows as the relatives of the followers become concerned, they begin to wonder what exactly happens in ‘Freedom Town‘ and is this actually a cult? We take the role of Vic whose nephew Alex is in ‘Freedom Town‘, he knows something isn’t right and decides to find this out for himself. Using his skills he learnt from his time as a law enforcement officer, Vic travels to South America to infiltrate his way in and make sure Alex is alright.

How you get in is entirely up to you, but remember that all actions come with consequences. You can go stealth and avoid detection completely, you can choose to take on the guards using non-lethal methods or you can go in loud and kill anyone who gets in your way – play the way you feel comfortable with. As you explore your way around ‘Freedom Town’ you will find all kinds of clues in forms of documents and letters, also it pays to listen to the PA system for the preacher’s sharing their views and beliefs. As you piece together all of your intel, you will discover the the true nature behind the ‘Collective Justice Mission’ and ‘Freedom Town’.
