Red Dead Redemption a very popular game on Xbox 360 and a Red Dead Redemption 2 reveal would certainly bring a lot of Xbox players happiness as the first Red Dead Redemption sold more than 15 million units and is also one of the most requested titles for Xbox One backwards compatibility. Surely A sequel (Red Dead Redemption 2) was always on the table and now it seems it is likely to happen during E3 this year.
Rumours of a Red Dead 2 have been common for a long time now and the wild west franchise is in fact in development at this current moment and has been for four years now. Rumours are arising that the game is titled Read Dead Redemption 2: Legends of The West. A source that wished to stay anonymous says the game will be due for release of fall 2017 and Rockstar Games will officially announce the game during E3 (June 2016).
The source also revealed that there will be more than one playable character and also the open world game will be bigger than the previous title.
Below are some pictures which the source acquired from a former Rockstar Games employee and also claims of a HD remake of the original title is in the works for current gen consoles and will be available by the end of this year
Xbox One UK can not at this time confirm any of these sources to be in fact 100% accurate but please keep an eye out for any Red Dead Redemption news in the near future.
Our Team at Xbox One UK did some research into the speculations of a Red Dead Two and things are sure looking likely as of right now but once again we are not in a position to officially confirm anything as of this moment in time.
What we can inform you is that the Grand Theft Auto series and Red Dead Redemption are set in stone to Rockstar Games and this is in fact proven by the screen shot evidence below.
“I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It’s obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others”
This is a quote from CEO of Take-Two Strauss Zelnick.
Also another point to prove we could be expecting to have Red Dead Redemption 2 hitting stores Fall 2017 is evidence from Danny Ross in an AMA request thread on Reddit. Danny, who many believe is an ex-employee of Rockstar Games.
He was asked a question if he was aware of anything that Rockstar Games are working on and he responded with “Really? Dumb ass. Really? Two.” Now in all honesty it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that if you in fact take each first letter of his response it reads RDR 2 which drops a large hit at of course Red Dead Redemption 2.
