Reports have surfaced on Reddit regarding a set of new games that could be making their way to Xbox One’s backward compatibility.
Reddit user Daymarr posted the incriminating evidence claiming that they had received an E-Mail from Microsoft. The E-mail listed a fleet of six games that would soon make their way over to the backward compatibility. These games were Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite as well as Skate 3, Halo Wars and the much requested Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Usually in this situation we could pass this off as a simple rumour, perhaps a solo redditor trying to grab at the opportunity to pull a bunch of coveted Reddit Gold. The image of course clearly states that the games are now available and upon checking it is clear to see that the games are in fact not available at all. However, MajorNelson has weighed in on the discussion.
MajorNelson’s post dose not outright dispute the information that is quoted within the E-mail, on the contrary he merely states that it is inaccurate and instead confirms the existence of the E-Mail. Of course, the inaccuracy could suggest that the games are not yet out, but will be out in the near future.
Backing this is the page that you get sent to upon clicking ‘Learn More’. Following the link on the article takes you to the Xbox backward compatibility page and scrolling down that will show you this pleasant image.
Naturally a solo Redditor looking for Reddit gold wouldn’t be able to go as far as to change the Xbox website itself so the only conclusion we can possibly be left with is that these six games will be arriving on Xbox’s backwards compatibility very shortly. The final nail in the coffin, so to speak, comes in the form of a tweet from MajorNelson.

This tells us without a doubt that Halo Wars is now ready to play on Xbox One and those signed up to Preview can get their hands on it already.
We don’t know when the other games will be arriving on Xbox One but the evidence seems to suggest that it will be very soon. This reporter can honestly say he is very much looking forward to finally being able to run circles on Black Ops’ Kino Der Toten once again.
