The Solus Project starts its survival on XB Preview

Some may say there are enough survival games out there but it only means they’re getting more authentic in story and play style. The Solus Project hit the Xbox One Preview today so if you are on the preview program you’re able to log on now and download the game for just £10.79. If you prefer to get how own mitts on the game before cashing out though, you can also download a free trial before spending your hard-earned pennies.

Ok, so as a survival game there’s still that aspect of a lost humanity, lots of dead people on an Earth that has been destroyed and it being down to you to save the very existence of the human species but Solus adds a little more of that sci-fi spice into the mix. You’ve been sent out to scout a distant and possibly habitable planet when your ship gets destroyed on the way in, leaving you the sole survivor trying to find a way to contact home (wherever that is meant to be now!). Built on the new Unreal 4 engine, it’s relatively safe to expect some impressive sights and mechanics within the game including:

a dynamic weather system that calculates temperature/humidity/wind. Ocean tides. Plants respond to the climate. Storms form. Earthquakes happen…tornadoes, storms, meteors, lightning –

I’m certainly going to try and get my hands on this one over the weekend but if you get there before us, let us know what you think about the game in the comments below for all to see! Release trailer below and the game site above so you can have a proper read on what this first person survival game has to offer.

I'm on all things MMO/MOBA, family man, part-time streamer at and on the OfficialXboxOneUk channel too. For me, gaming isn't a hobby or even a passion; it's a way of life. I'm trying to make it even more than that through streams, videos and writing.
