Battalion 1944: Stretch Goals, Game Preview & More

Having smashed their initial funding goal of £100,000 (as reported here) and going on to hit the heady heights of £246,585 pledged at time of writing it should come as no surprise that the developers of Battalion 1944 are working hard to implement Stretch Goals. According to the studio some of these may have already been implemented, based on the evidence of the quote below at least:

Our team has been working day and night to produce these kickstarter stretch goals. When I say produce, I mean in 17 days we have added entirely new features to the game to show you, we haven’t just “said” we’ll do it.

We’ve actually gone and done it.

Some of the things we had already planned, but some of them we’ve gone away and designed them. We want you to see what you’re buying or see why you should raise your pledge. We want you to know how much we as a team and I personally care about this community having a voice. So in the coming days when we announce our stretch goals, we’re going to have a sprint to the finish line. The last few days of this kickstarter need to be huge, we need to push, tweet, share, back, like, pledge, raise, and show all the support we can for this game we’re all so proud to be a part of.

With regards to the Stretch goals Joe Brammer, Executive Producer at Bulkhead had this to say on Twitter:

As well as the above Brammer also answered some other question from fans and backers on Twitter:

In regards to Battalion 1944 running at 60FPS on consoles:

When questioned on whether or not Bulkhead has any intention of bringing the game to the Game Preview programme on Xbox One:

Finally, when asked directly about what level of aim assist would be featured in the game:

With Bulkhead sticking to their promise of stretch goals should ample backing be received, as well as addressing many queries that fans are having it seems the studio really are doing everything they can to stick to their ethos of creating a back to basics multi player FPS that fans of the genre can truly appreciate.
