The Wild Eight to crash-land on Xbox One, Beta coming

The Wild Eight – a co-operative survival story – has been announced for Xbox One. Expected towards the end of 2o16, The Wild Eight takes place following a plane crash in deserted, frozen Alaska. Playing co-operatively as one of eight survivors, the Russia-based development team promises a harsh look at winter survival and a blood-curdling story.

With the game still several months away from release, it’s already shaping up as one of the more interesting games on the horizon, with eerie music to accompany beautiful visuals that no doubt hide unknown Alaskan terror, especially at night.

The Wild Eight

The developers have hinted a little at what The Wild Eight will bring those brave enough to try it.

  • Try to survive and explore the forest side by side with other players. It’s the right way to stand against this harsh world… until a madman appears in your group who wishes to grab the catch. Or to taste the human flesh.
  • At night the temperature drops to critical points, and a bleeding wound worries you when least expected. You must develop all survival skills such as creation of shelters and other necessary things, otherwise you’re doomed to death…
  • Where did all these deserted buildings and mutated wolves come from? Solve all the puzzles of this place to get out of here.

We’re really looking forward to bringing you more about The Wild Eight, and a review nearer the game’s release. You can sign up for updates and a Beta on the game’s home page.

Amazingly, prone to intermittent fits of unexplained optimism. Lived alone and liked it so much he bought the company. Wouldn't mind being a little less clever and a little more handsome. Arranges words into painstakingly grammatically correct order for a living. Likes: Sunshine, TV, couch, cats, games. Dislikes: Rain, people, arranging words into painstakingly grammatically correct order. #ILHIMH
