FOUR new Backward Compatible titles available RIGHT NOW

When Microsoft announced that the monthly release schedule of Backwards Compatible titles would be shelved and games would just appear when they were ready, we wondered exactly how this would work. Would Major Nelson announce every newly compatible title, or would we have to find out for ourselves?

Well, today, two new games have landed in our “Ready to Install” sections – ragdoll mototrbike game Trials HD and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.

BC Ready to Install

Interestingly, neither game has featured in the Games with Gold programme yet, although today Remedy, developers of the Alan Wake games and now Quantum Break, announced that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare features as a pre-order bonus for Quantum Break.

Trials HD – the fiendishly addictive yet mercilessly cruel Xbox Live Arcade game from developer Red Lynx – received an Xbox 360 sequel in the shape of Trials Evolution. Last year’s Trials Fusion was the first outing for the franchise on Xbox One.

The Official List of Backwards Compatible titles also shows that Lego Batman and Sam and Max Beyond Time & Space also made the Backwards Compatible cut today.

The screen shot only shows Trials HD and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare because those are the two that I had already purchased digitally, so they were in my “Ready to Install” section. The other two (Lego Batman, and Sam and Max Beyond Time and Space) are BC, though, so if you already have them (or choose to get them) they will work on your Xbox One.
