The Division To Maximize Xbox One’s Potential

Yes I know it’s a UbiSoft game and they have a less than stellar track record when it comes to their recent games and their running capabilities on Xbox One (Assassin’s Creed Unity anyone?). However Ubisoft Massive’s creative director Magnus Jansen is confident that The Division will look, and feel, the part across all platforms, including Xbox One.

In a recent interview Jansen stated ““With the SnowDrop Engine, we are able to get the max out of any platform” he went on to add “And for us, it’s a matter of pride, to be able to support everyone who invests money and they buy the game and allow them to make most out of their hardware. We are utilizing every tiny little cycles of all the platforms to its maximum that’s the sense of pride about not wasting people’s hardware”

So while us Xbox One gamers have every right to be skeptical about The Division’s graphic and running capabilities it seems as though UbiSoft are working hard to try and ensure that it surprises a few. Whether it can reach the heady heights of graphical master pieces such as Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Witcher III remains to be seen but it’s certainly something to anticipate with bated breath.

Do you think The Division can make good on the promise Jansen is making? Or will it be another UbiSoft let down in terms of it’s console capabilities?
