A Boy and His Blob launches on Xbox One on 20 January

If you are looking for the very best in games about a blob and a boy, but don’t have a Wii, then you will be in luck soon when the Wii classic gets its Xbox debut outing. A Boy and His Blob launches on Xbox One on 20 January.

It might have taken seven long years (and 27 years back to the NES original!), but now Xbox One owners will get the chance to force-feed Jelly Beans to a blob so you can overcome puzzles!

A boy and his Blob gameplay

In this 2D side-scrolling puzzle platformer you control a young boy who feeds jellybeans to his blob companion, transforming it into one of fifteen different objects that can be used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. These include ladders for climbing, anvils to drop on top of enemies, holes that allow the boy to drop through platforms, and cannons for shooting.

The modestly sized 2.19 GB download can be picked up from the Xbox Store on release date, although no price available as yet.

Amazingly, prone to intermittent fits of unexplained optimism. Lived alone and liked it so much he bought the company. Wouldn't mind being a little less clever and a little more handsome. Arranges words into painstakingly grammatically correct order for a living. Likes: Sunshine, TV, couch, cats, games. Dislikes: Rain, people, arranging words into painstakingly grammatically correct order. #ILHIMH
