Games Out This Week 07/12/2015 – 13/12/2015

Hey you, yes you there, good to see you again on a Monday morning. How was the weekend for you, mine consisted of a load of shopping for a particular event taking place on the 25th. By now we should all know the routine here: Coffee ready – Check, Eager to see the games – Check, Sitting comfortably – Check. So with no more time wasting, jump on the hype train and let’s see where we go today.

Flop it out with up to 4 players in a retro, epic narwhal battle in space. The heart-piercing action is furious and unrelenting, STARWHAL will change your life. This Digital Entertainment Object for Home Console Hardware is all about love, respect, and ALL-OUT MAYHEM. Inspired by countless couch-gaming gatherings over the decades, Breakfall developed something competitive, creative, and immediately fun. STARWHAL is the number one local multiplayer couch gaming experience featuring marine mammals in outer space.

Baseball Riot

baseball riot

Baseball Riot is a humorous physics based puzzle game. The player, as the baseball star Gabe Carpaccio, must travel through the US and clear more than 100 levels bristling with Explodz energy drink crazed villains. The gameplay is easy to pick up and play; the player simply lines up a shot, swings the bat and sees the ball knock out obnoxious fans, leery catchers, biased umpires and more. The player must bounce the ball of walls and obstacles to get the goons lurking behind cover.

Starpoint Gemini 2

Starpoint Gemini 2 is a full 3D space simulator come RPG. The in-game world is the Gemini system, which consists of various cohesive star systems. Players captain one of around seventy ships, controlling a single vessel rather than a fleet, although wingmen as well as ship’s officers will be available for hiring. The game features pre-scripted story missions, but also randomly generated “Freelance missions” that rely on player’s actions and allegiances.

Only a short train journey this week, although it’s quality over quantity sometimes. This week you can become a spaceship captain, a baseball big hitter or a whale type creature that gets up to all sorts of things. If anything, these could be titles that would otherwise slip under the radar – but not here. What’s going straight in your basket, let us know in the comments.
