The Game Awards – Exciting info inbound!

This Friday (2am UK time) sees the next annual The Game Awards ceremony. As is always the case with big gaming related award ceremonies and shows the internet has been awash over the last couple of days with confirmations of new info from developers as well as teasers of what’s to come.

To try to keep this as concise as possible and allow you to manage your excitement in bite size portions I’ll try to bullet point the key points below:

  • Quantum Break developer Remedy Games has confirmed there will be new and “different than before” game play revealed for the Xbox One exclusive tutle.
  • It appears Quantum Break won’t be the only new game play/reveal we see from the Xbox team with Microsoft’s marketing lead for Xbox, Aaron Greenberg tweeting “Excited to have a @QuantumBreak world premiere & other #XboxOne games next week @thegameawards”
  • Along with the information regarding the Xbox One exclusives comes the news that the world will see the first game play from Far Cry Primal at the awards.
  • Finally, Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon confirmed that he will be in attendance at the awards as NetherRealm will reveal some details about the next batch of characters for Mortal Kombat X.

That’s a lot of juicy information despite only spanning four bullet points and while you get the general idea of what’s to come it still gives you a lot of room to speculate! What do you think we’ll see on the Xbox side? Scalebound information maybe?

The nominees for the actual awards themselves can be found here.
