Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has taken to Twitter to confirm that new Backwards Compatible titles will be announced monthly. Phil made the statement in a reply to Twitter user @RicoSeattle.
@RicoSeattle We will announce news monthly, don't have a specific date for each month's list.

We already understood details of upcoming Backwards Compatible titles would be released ‘on a regular basis’ as Xbox spokesperson and shiny-jacket-wearer Major Nelson explained in his blog.
“Our launch of 104 titles on Nov. 12 is just the beginning. You can expect new Xbox One Backward Compatible games to be announced on a regular basis, starting in December. More titles are on the way, including fan favorites like Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite and Skate 3. Stay tuned because this just the beginning of a long list of Xbox 360 games that will run on Xbox One.” ~ Major Nelson
It’s nice to see the Head of Xbox confirming just how regular these updates will be.
We also know that going forward all Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be part of the Backwards Compatible crowd. Monthly updates to this list may mean that January’s titles might not just be drawn from the first 104 titles already announced.
Finally, we know that the Back Compat team check the Xbox Feedback site regularly to see which games fans are clamouring for (currently BLOPS II, Skyrim and Red Dead top the list). Mike Ybarra has gone into some detail about why some titles will take longer to arrive than others.
