Dying Light’s Season Pass + DLC Update
Are you a fan of dying light? I don’t mean that magical time of day as the sun disappears under the horizon, but the parkour zombie game from Techland. Dying Light: The Following is the new expansion pack, originally set to be a simple expansion to the original game, but it has grown out of all proportion. So much so in fact that it could be its own game, in a statement Techland said:
“Looking at it, it’s clear how big the expansion pack has grown – it could be a standalone title, but since it would mean a launch delay, we decided against it,”
So the decision was made that from December 8th the price of the season pass and expansion will increase. The season pass will go from $19.99 to $29.99 and the expansion will be $19.99 up form $14.99.
“We didn’t want this to come as a surprise to you, so we’re announcing it in advance, This price change will not affect players who already own the Season Pass.As promised back in August, our expansion will still be free for all Dying Light Season Pass holders. However since the Season Pass will now include this bigger-than-anticipated addition, we needed to adjust the price accordingly” Techland stated
If your interested in Dying Light: The Following you still have time to purchase the season pass – including the added expansion – before the December price increase. This new expansion offers at least 10 hours of new playtime, a massive new area that is as big as the all the original maps combined, new main quests, side quests, new skills and new driving challenges. So far there’s no official release date but it is expected to launch within the first quarter of 2016, with Techland promising some ‘Cool Reveals’ to be shared soon.
