Suit up! In a suit of armour that is! Torn Banner Studios have announced their Medieval First Person melee-centric game is coming to Xbox One on December 2nd! Activision will be publishing the title, which will be available for pre-order on the 25th in two different versions, a standard edition of Chivalry Medieval Warfare and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Ultimate Edition which includes several cosmetic DLC packs.
The four DLC packs in question are the Barbarian Character Pack, Marauding Arbiter Pack, Inquisitive Dreadnaught Bundle and Barbarian Weapon Pack. It’s also worth noting that you will be able to purchase these items seperatley should you choose to purchase the standard version of the game. On the announcement post on Torn Banner Studio’s website, they state that these DLC packs are purely cosmetic skin packs for characters and weapons.
The Barbarian Character Pack contains savage barbarian skins for each of the game’s four classes. The Marauding Arbiter Pack features new skins and helmets for the Vanguard class. The Inquisitive Dreadnaught Bundle holds new skins, helmets and special weapons for the Knight class. Finally, the Barbarian Weapon Pack delivers five brutal weapons of war.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare will use dedicated severs for up to 24-person multiplayer with 25 maps to choose from, as well as a Horde Mode for up to six players.
I’m quite happy about this news. I picked up the game when it was first released on the 360 but no-one ever seemed to be playing it, so hopefully with this Xbox One release it might find an active player base so I can chop some heads and frequently reference the Black Knight scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is set for release in digital only form on December 2nd through the Xbox Store, digital pre-orders are expected to be available from the 25th November.
