Friday The 13th: The Game Kickstarter Closes With Over $800K

The Kickstarter for Friday The 13th: The Game came to an end on, you guessed it, Friday the 13th. Having set themselves the goal of reaching $700,000 they exceeded this to raise the grand total of $823,704 from a total of 12,218 supporters.

Having reached their goal with two days still to go the developers, Gun Media and Illfonic, decided to add in some stretch goals if certain new targets were met. These included a new Mirror Kill ($725,000), a 3D head crush kill which included popping eyeballs ($750,000) and the Rip Your Heart Out Kill ($775,000). They also gave out a target of $1.625 million if they were to develop a single player campaign.

The developers may continue to accept outside funding, we just don’t know yet. This could mean that we might still get to see some kind of campaign mode added or some additional kills maybe.friday1301

Friday The 13th: The Game has a tentative release date of October 2016, presumably coinciding with Halloween but this is yet to be confirmed.
